Caramel Apple Ring

2 tblspns. Butter  
Pinch Salt  
4 tblspns. Brown Sugar  
1 dssrtspn. Sugar  
8 oz. Self-Raising Flour  
1 More tblspn. Butter  
1/2 tspn. Grated Lemon Rind  
3/4 Cup Milk  
1/2 tspn. Cinnamon  
Extra 2 tblspns. Brown Sugar  
1-1/2 Cups Cooked Apple Pulp
Creaam butter and brown sugar. Spread over base and sides of 8" ring tin. Prepare dough by sifting flour, salt and sugar into a basin, and rubbing in the butter, then mixing with milk. Roll into an oblong shape 1/4" thick. Spread with apple pulp mixed with extra brown sugar, lemon rind and cinnamon. Roll up. Cut into 2" slices, place cut side down in a prepared tin. Bake in a hot oven for about 25 minutes. Serve hot or cold with custard.
