Simple Pickled Onions

Method
 
Small Onion  
Salt  
2 tspns. Sugar  
Cold Malt Vinegar
Peel and wash small onion; place them in an earthenware bowl and salt well. Leave overnight. Next morning remove from salted water and put into stirlised jars. Add 2 tspns. Sugar to each 2 lb. Jar. Fill jars with ordinary cold malt vinegar. Seal jars and they will be ready within a week.
