Mushroom and Tomato Sauce

Method
 
Small Tin Tomato Paste  
1 Onion  
1/2 lb. Mushrooms  
Basil Fresh  
1 Clove Garlic  
Salt  
Pepper  
1 tblspn. Sugar  
Oil  
1/2 Cup Grape Juice  
Stock or Water
Heat oil in heavy pan, then gently fry chopped onion until lightly brown. Add mushrooms, cook for few minutes then add the grape juice. Simmer untilreduced by half, then add tomato paste, basil, seasoning and the sugar with the enough stock or water to make sauce a creamy consistency. Add crushed garlic and simmer very slowly for 20 minutes. Serve hot with spaghetti or vegetables. Serve on toast as breakfast or supper dish.
