Gulab Jamuns

150 gms Full Cream Milk Powder  
60 gms Plain Flour  
Pinch of Soda Bicarbonate in 30 ml Water  
2 tspn Clarified Butter or Ghee  
Pinch of Cardamom Powder  
Ground Nuts for Garnishing  
10 gms Corn Starch  
Syrup  
2 Cups Sugar  
3 Cups Water  
Few Drops of Rose Water
Sift together flour, corn starch and milk powder. Knead well to a stiff dough with butter and soda bicarbonate mixture. Ste aside.

Make a thin syrup by boiling water and sugar. Add rose water and set aside. Take dough, shape into small balls and fry in low heat until uniformly brown. Remove on paper towels and plunge into hot syrup. Serve hot or cold, garnished with ground nuts and crushed caradmoms.
