1-1/2 Cups Flour 3/4 Cup Milk 1/2 Cup Chopped Dates ! Tblspn. Butter 1 tblspn. Apricot Jam 1/2 tspn. Cinnamon 1/2 tspn Ground Ginger Pinch Salt 1/3 tblspn. Bi-Carb. | Sift flour, salt and spices together. Stir in dates and jam.Mix soda and milk. In a large saucepan, boil together: 4 cups water and 1 cup sugar. Boil for a few minutes. Then drop spoonsfur of the dough into the boiling syrup. Cover tightly with lid and boil for 15 minutes. Serve with custard. |
