Golden Sauce  
 
Ingredients

1 lb. Green Tomatoes  
2 oz. Onions  
Pinch Ground Cloves  
2 tspns. Salt  
1/4 pint Malt Vinegar  
2 tblspns. Sugar  
1/4 tspn. Turmeric  
1/2 tspn. Each: Celery Salt  
Allspice  
Cinnamon.
Wash tomatoes and cut up small. Put into a saucepan with finely chopped onions and salt. Cover and cook gently till soft- about 3/4 hour. Rub Through a sieve. Return to pan. Add other ingredients and cook until thick. Pour into bottles and sterilise for 5 mins.
